TECK is a CC chemokine, specifically expressed by thymic stromal cells and is important for T cell development . TECK signals through the CCR9 receptor. TECK is chemotactic towards activated macrophages, thymocytes, and dendritic cells. TECK is involved in adhesion of T cells to intestinal cells especially through CCR9. TECK appears to be a marker and means for T-cell intestinal immunity especially involving γ? T cells.
